The problem with winter is that most fashionable things do not keep you warm i.e. while you may look extremely stylish you might end up catching hypothermia so in order to avoid being constantly ill this year due to my commitment to fashion i set out to find a new outfit that is both on trend and warm, incorporating the very now beige/camel colour pallet and hints of fur with the interesting textures of the white jumper and skirt. The outfit also goes really well with my camel cape ( capes being the wintercoat to have this season!) and my new furry satchel from river island.

Stella in wonderland

I have thing for velvet. especially in those winter months when it makes you look both christmasy due to the fact that it makes colours look ridiculously luxurious and rich and because its extremely warm so it was hard to resist this little blue dress when i found it in topshop! i thought in order to stop it from looking to prim and proper I would add a bit of detail with accessories. The hairband which in actual fact is a necklace was a a sales bargain (only £7) which happened to be in the exact same shade of blue of the dress! the shoes with their little leopard heads tie in with the gold accents of the hairband and add a bit of edge. In this outfit I feel like a modern day Alice, waiting to explore the wonders of the world

70's chunky knit

As it is getting colder i thought i would i invest in a chunky knit sweater but combine it in a fashion forward and slightly different way and as a result though warmer than my summer attire be no less on trend as i find it difficult to sometimes to be both. As camel seems to be all the range now and i am currently loving the slightly 70's inspired theme this winter season i thought i would combine the crisp white sweater with varying shades of camel. I immediately fell in love with the floppy hat that i think makes this outfit a bit more dressy and think it compliments the colour of the belt, sueade wedges and over the knee socks well. it means i can be warm and stylish and makes me look forward to a winter with many more new outfits to come!

Inspired By The Grecians

I immediately loved this dress when i spotted it in the Topshop flagship, particularly the rather unconventional shape, long in the back and short in the front and also the very crisp white colour of it. It has a really flowy feel but needed some kind of accessory to give it that certain something so i just had to get this statement necklace which i think perfectly rounds off my modern take on a Grecian goddess.
