Bright Things
For day 4 I had a look around the exhibits on offer at Somerset house and as a bit of a sucker for a statement necklaces, these  Shourouk pieces immediately caught my eye. Striking the right balance between girly and modern (I particularly love the Perspex detail on some of them), they incooperate beautiful colours to make striking pieces of jewellery that would transform any outfit into something quite special.
Bejewelled
I have always been a big fan of Mawi Jewellery with its heavy duty, high end look so I was rather intrigued to see how this look would translate into clutches. Glittery, embellished and with eye catching neon zips these bags should look ridiculously over the top but they really work. Dream clutch territory.
Sunny-side
Over the last few days Somerset House has luckily been bathed in sunshine which meant  everyone got out their sunnies despite the still  freezing temperatures. This being fashion week of course we aren't talking your run of the mill ray bans, whether with Perspex detail, angular frrames or blue lenses these sunglasses are a great way to add colour and interfering details to an outfit.
Pepsi Power
My friend and fellow blogger Kate shows how to not take fashion too serious by combining her vintage Pepsi print jumper with a real life Pepsi can! People can forget that fashion should be fun and not about having a look that will get you photographed around LFW and Kate definitely put a smile on my face with this ensemble!

LFW Day 3

Seeking Stylish Males
For day three I went on a hunt for the top men's street style looks around Somerset house. It's not easy for guys to look fashionable without looking flamboyant and I think a lot more of them need to dare to dress in a more fashion forward and less safe way. This hunt actually inspired me and a few fellow fashion loving girls to start a side project of finding London's best dressed guys to dispel stereotypes and show that they do exist around town so watch this space! Here my favourites from yesterday:

Tattoo Inspiration
facing the camera more often than not these days it's always nice to see something a bit different when looking at the lens and this tattoo definitely does the trick!

LFW Day 2

Blog love
I was lucky enough to meet the lovely Ivania from Love Aesthetic today who is here  from Amsterdam to brighten up LFW. I  admire her trademark white colour pallette and the crisp lines she encapsulates in her outfits, a minimal look that not many can master and which is far removed from the  predicable "blogger" attire
Antipodium at the London Film Museum
The 10 am start to  the Antipodium  show may have  meant an usually early Saturday rise for me but the show and venue definitely made up for it. Just by Covent Garden's cobbles, the catacomb like basement of the Film museum provided the perfect way to show the collection. Seating was scattered around the dramatically lit room  and made everyone front row, models going on a pacour like walk through the space that allowed  a close look at the collection. It may not have been the most conventional set up but definitely one that made the designs shine.
The Art of Clutches
Whether irridicent, see-through or with oil spill effect, clutches have been transformed into carriable pieces of art and were used to real statement effect around Somerset house today. They may not always be the most practical method of carrying your belongings ( the Christopher Kane only holding all but a  lipstick) but they are an easy way to add an extravagant feature to an outfit that doesn't overwhelm the rest of your outfit and forces you to rethink which essentials you really need on you.
XXL Feathers at Issa
Dramatic fedoras adorned with feathers were the standout out accessory at Issa tonight. Adding old school glamour to beautifully embellished dresses, rich teal, orange and red tones and and flowy maxi shapes these hats were the perfect finishing touch to the luxurious look of the evening.
Hair inspiration
As a bit of dip dye addict I absolutely love the mix of purple and blue tones tones , working wonderfully here  in contrast with  the bright red beret. Combining two shades  is something I have never thought about and something i shall now  try in my next Bleach experiment.
